- May 1 square, situated at the beginning of Kremlyovskaya Street near the Kremlin. The newlyweds traditionally gather here on the wedding day. This is the most ancient square in the city, where you can take nice pictures near the monument to Musa Dzhalil and Spasskaya Tower.
- The walls and the towers of the Kremlin were destroyed during the siege of Kazan. The new walls were built up: 3 metres wide, 6 metres high. The whole length of the Kremlin walls is 2 kilometres. - The Museum complex Khazine is a National Art Gallery, where you can see the exhibitions of works of decorative and applied art, paintings, graphics, sculptures created by artists of Kazan and the Kazan Province, the Republic of Tatarstan in the 19th-21st centuries.
- Cathedral of the Annunciation was built in 1552 by the architects from Pskov by the order of Ivan the Terrible and it still retains its unique style. A lot of famous people such as Peter I, Catherine II, Nicolai II, Sergei Rakhmaninov, Alexander Pushkin and others visited the cathedral. Inside the cathedral there is a museum holding ancient manuscripts, books and photographs of pre-revolutionary Kazan.
- Suyumbike Tower is one of the main attractions and symbols of the city of Kazan. It is 58 metres high and it leans down to 2 metres. On the top of the tower you can see a golden crescent. - Cannon yard of the Kremlin is also an interesting architectural ensemble consisting of 4 buildings. This was the place where the weapon was made during the last 200 years. In the 19th century it was the biggest cannon factory in Russia of the Tsar’s times.
- Kul Sharif Mosque is the main mosque of Kazan and the whole Republic of Tatarstan. This is one of the biggest mosques in Europe.
